Recording and movie by Werner Herzog/David Lynch 16 May 2009
Hello
Just finished the recording of my new cd. We recorded in the Fattoria Musica in Osnabruck, Germany. I enjoyed very much recording with my favourite musicians: Clemens van der Feen on bass and Flin van Hemmen on drums. Wow, what a guys!
And on the second day Michael Moore joined us in the studio, yeah!
We recorded a lot of music, about 8 cd's of music with original songs and improvisations.
Next week I'll start to listen to the music, looking forward doing this, but first it feels good to take some distance from the recording...

Hello,
Lost month I played kind of every day at least one concert.
That's the reason why there wasn't a lot of activity at this website. But here some news about what happened and what will happen soon..
The Reijseger/Fraanje/Sylla toured in Holland; I enjoyed it a lot, nice compositions, lot of space and a good vibe. Ernst is really strong and Mola touched me deeply. He is a master in waiting for the right moment, but when this very moment comes, he's incredible..wow!
It was our first tour, but we're planning a new one, there are more concrete plans for a cd and other recordings, more information about that soon.

Welcome, perhaps again..
Next month I'll tour with the trio Reijseger/Fraanje/Sylla. I'm very much looking forward to playing with these great musicians. So far we've played one concert only with this group.
This concert was recorded and there're some video's on Youtube: Rekwela, Sonatala and Jangelma.
I composed some new songs, some are really simple and open, others more complex.
In May I'll record these compositions with my trio with Clemens van der Feen and Flin van Hemmen. Michael Moore will join us on some tunes.

Thanks for visiting this site, I'll try to update it every week again.. Januari was a month full of concerts, I enjoyed them a lot. It feels great to be in this 'concert' vibe, to play almost every day, in some way performing that much makes it easier for me to focus...
Igor Roma and I played our first concert in the Beauforthuis, Austerlitz.
It felt great; Igor played some beautiful classical pieces and I improvised in between.
The audience liked it a lot, that's nice too! I was satisfied with our first concert and I'm looking forward to the next time we'll play. In May we'll record for Vrije Geluiden, a Dutch television program.

Last week I was supposed to play in Mumbai, India with the Oxymore Quintet.
However the concerts in Mumbai and Bangalore were cancelled two weeks ago because of a strike. Probably we'll go there next year. Having seen the attacks in Mumbai I am relieved that we didn't go there..
Some weeks ago I received the Prins Bernhard Muziekprijs Noord Brabant.
Commissaris van de Koningin Hanja Maij-Weggen awarded the Prize in the Toonzaal, Den Bosch. After the 'official' part I played a duo concert with Eric Vloeimans.
One week later we recorded a new cd with Aneris, with Brice Soniano and Toma Gouband on 'drums'. We invited two guestmusicians to join us; Michael Moore on sax and clarinet and Nelson Veras on guitar. We recorded in the Toonzaal, since this venue has got great acoustics and a great grand piano.
