Preparing 01 Sep 2008
Hello,
Last week I had some inspiring rehearsal days with Fugimundi, with Eric Vloeimans and Anton Goudsmit. We spend some days together to work on new material for the group.
We all made some new compositions and I think all of them really work for this band.
I was really happy to focus for some days, to try out different approaches and to practise a lot.
I think we've developed a very nice varied repertoire.
This month I'll study the new songs for our tour in the USA in october.

Hello,
Yesterday I came back from Zeeuws Vlaanderen were Esther and me spend some days together during our tiny cosy holiday.
After the arrival I rehearsed wih the Ploctones, the group of Anton Goudsmit.
Tonight we'll open the new season in the Bimhuis, Amsterdam. We'll play mostly original compositions by Anton. Besides that we'll play some compositions I made some time ago.
Next year we'll tour with the Ploctones in the Dutch theaters. More info later...

Hello,
Back from France where I played some wonderful concerts with Aneris and Michael Moore.
It was good to be together for a while, we don't play that often, but I always feel very refreshed after playing with these musicians. These guys are really openminded and free.
We played three totally different concerts in small chapels in the area around Bergerac.
I liked it a lot and I'm looking forward to meet again in September.
Then we'll have some days of rehearsals for our live recording in November in the Toonzaal in Den Bosch.

Welcome again,
Tonight I'll go some days to France, the first days camping with some good friends and after that some concerts with Aneris in the area around Bergerac. I'm very much looking forward to play again with Aneris with Michael Moore as a guest. We'll play in little churches and historical chapels with great acoustics.
Last week I played a duo concert with Magic Malik and as always it gave me a lot of inspiration. We played at the operafestival in the Beauforthuis Austerlizt. He introduced me to a new song he composed, Amerigo. I really like it.
This year we'll make a duo cd, more info about this later.

Welcome (again)
My first weeks in Amsterdam were very nice. I'm really happy the removal is finished, the 23 stories down in Tilburg were quit simple, but the 4 going up in Amsterdam were something else...
But now everything kind of found it's right place, and I've got time to work again.
And that's nice, because I can study the whole day, without complaints from the neighbours.
At the moment I'm working a lot on Beethoven and Bach, and it feels very good to do this. Recently Igor Roma and I formed a new piano duo, so I'll work on all the music he might play during our concerts to be aware of what's happening. Besides this I'm arranging two of my compositions for this duo. Later this year we'll probably perform in VPRO's Vrije Geluiden on the Dutch television.
